Oregon Retrievers is relocating and expanding!!

Tom and I are within days of fulfilling our dreams and goals. Almost five years ago we formed a long term plan. We first wanted to stay and expand at our current kennel location. After concluding that the property was never going to be for sale or at least not in a reasonable time frame, we started our search for an alternative location that would be compatible with our project. Being in business in our valley for as long as we have and listening to our local customers needs and wishes, we came to the conclusion that our valley was in dire need and ready for a state of the art pet facility. This is when the R&R Pet Resort became an idea.

We wanted to provide our valley with a full care pet boarding facility with all of the amenities a pet owner could ask for. We also wanted to provide comfortable, luxurious housing for our wonderful devoted breeding dogs and their puppies. This, we found out, was not going to be easy! We ran into many hurdles. Some seemed unsurmountable! Zoning, location, and financing such a big project, just to name a few. It’s a good thing that we were so passionate and stubborn about this dream. We refused to give up and it finally paid off.

Although all of the breeding dogs are still at the old facility until construction is complete, our new state of the art Puppy Nursery is up and running. Each Mama dog has her own private indoor whelping room with access to an outdoor run. All of the interior walls are washable for disinfecting and sanitary purposes. Our floors are sealed cement with acid staining for easy cleaning and sanitizing. The entire building is sanitized daily.

There is a comfortable indoor puppy viewing room as well as an outdoor puppy viewing yard that has a special all weather pet turf so you will have a clean comfortable place to pick out that special puppy. There are large spacious exercise yards for the puppies and their mamas. They have climbing rocks and wading pools in the summer for their enjoyment.

As soon as the new facility is complete, all of our breeding females and stud dogs will move to their new home. They will have large indoor outdoor runs that will be climate controlled. During the day, they will be able to spend most of their day enjoying playtime in the large exercise yards adjoining their kennels. The facility will have a large indoor training room as well as a pond surrounded by grassy fields for training and retrieving drills. We have access to hundreds of acres of premium training grounds and ponds all within a short driving distance from the facility.
